POISON Frontman Schedules Solo Dates
March 28, 2007POISON frontman Bret Michaels has announced the following solo dates:
May 03 - Bentonville, Arkansas - Icehouse
May 04 - Conway, Arkansas - Simon Park
June 08 - Waukesha, Wisconsin - A Taste of Summer
Michaels is currently working on a new solo album, due later in the year. Audio samples of the tracks "Go That Far" and "Start Again" are available on Bret's MySpace page.
POISON will team up with RATT (featuring original singer Stephen Pearcy) for a U.S. tour this summer. The band is also completing work on an album of classic rock songs with producer Don Was. A late spring/early summer release is expected.
POISON released a new greatest-hits set back in April 2006 called "The Best of Poison: 20 Years of Rock", which includes their cover version of GRAND FUNK RAILROAD's "We're An American Band". The CD, which which commemorates POISON's 20th anniversary, has sold more than 350,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
